'Roy Lake'
Welcome to Roy Lake, a real deal!! Dan bought this land at a land
auction in May, 1998. It comprises 81 acres one mile
from MVA. The land includes lots of Roy Road
frontage, a historic Post Office building, the majority of a 10 acre lake,
1/4 mile of rushing creek feeding the lake, and about 60 acres of the
ridge overlooking the lake.

Diamond Back Post Office
Diamond Back Post Office, the area's post
office in the 1920's, resides on this land. It is now basically a shack with sorting trays and some
flooring, but still pretty cool!

Neighbor Encroachmant...
Unfortunately, the neighbor on the east side of the property has cleared a
building lot overlooking the lake intruding partially on our land (the far/north
side of the lake). We are currently pursuing a border judgment to prevent
further clearing or development. The following pictures attempt to show
the encroachment. Click on the thumbnail pictures below to the
better see encroachment,
but be patient because the pictures are large and will take a long time
to download over a slower speed connection.

encroachment on the property line, looking south across the
encroachment along the property line. |

Pic #1 shows the straight line from the tree mark to the flag to the line across the encroachment. |

encroachment on the property line, looking south across the encroachment
along the property line. |
Pic #2

|
 |
Pic #2 is just repeat of Pic #1, but closer
to the encroachment (note flag). |

encroachment on the marked property line, looking south across the
encroachment, looking slightly west. |
Pic #3

|
|
Pic #3 is similar to Pic #2, but showing more
of the west side of the encroachment (see flag). |
Standing on the south side of the
encroachment on the property line, looking north across the encroachment
along the property line. |
Pic #4

|
|
Pic #4 shows the line looking towards the Pic
#1's location. Note flag (slightly east of large tree)
across encroachment showing the property line. |
Standing on the south side of the
encroachment on the property line, looking south towards the lake, along
the property line. |
Pic #5

|
 |
Pic #5 is taking from the exact same position
as Pic #4, but looking south to lake, instead of north across
encroachment. Note the person waving at the property line
on the shore of the lake (look closely -- hard to see through the
trees). |
